First off I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I can't say thank you enough to all the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we all enjoy! You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten!!!
Secondly, the Pie Giveaway ends in an hour (my time) and I have yet to get one donation, that is a little bit of a let down! I wish I knew how some of the people on there are able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars and I am struggling to raise a few thousand. I guess that is what happens when you really have no "networks" to rely on. As a stay at home mom I don't really get out to much and with my husband's job he works with a lot of different companies for short amounts of time (generally) so he doesn't really have a network either. I am going to keep my head up and continue praying that things will come through for us though!
Our roof that keeps getting put off has officially been put off as long as possible and needs done ASAP now :( This is part of the "crazy journey" I promised haha) hopefully we will be able to find a reasonable contractor to help us out and won't deplete our savings to bad! lol
Waiting on more information about treatment dates from Brian.... waiting on something big is so hard! I really feel like a little kid waiting on Christmas morning to get here! haha oh well it's giving me more time to spread awareness and raise the needed funds to help us covered the associated costs of treatment :)

Received my 3rd donation on my Give Forward site!! Hope this momentum continues and the donations keep rolling in! Redid my layout on Give Forward and added a new pic! The site has been viewed over 170 times so we are getting the word out, now we just need to work on securing donors! We are getting so close to the "goal" now that the treatment part is being paid for! We are up to 3% raised!!! Please keep praying God blesses us with donations to make this journey possible and less stressful for us! I know my poor husband is beside himself about missing work and money but I know he wants to be there for me too.... I keep telling him God is good and everything will be fine and then pray like crazy I am right! haha
On a more general update note: Our daughter "graduated" from preschool this week, the baby is just a few Oz. shy of 10 lbs and 22" long, Bronson is getting excited about starting preschool now too and Braeden is really starting to loose that "babyness" about him and turn into more of a toddler! Such exciting times around here :)

Received the call from (PR) Brian I have been waiting for and found out I am getting my treatment covered by a Non-profit organization!! :) This means I only have to cover airfare, hotel, food and transportation, which is still going to be a chunk of change for us but soooo much better! The only down side is I may be getting treatment in a couple weeks so the need to raise money is more of a "crisis" now! haha Lots more praying that things work out (so if you aren't using your frequent flyer miles anytime soon... ;) lol)!!

Jennifer Sheppard is heading a benefit for me this weekend and there was a large news article in the Salem News. Here a Public Relations company out in California got wind of it and contacted her with an "offer".... after talking to the PR guy I have a very good chance of getting my treatment for free and only having to pay for travel!!!! The other freaky part is this company runs PR for the Dr. I was already planning on going to out in Cali!! I can't even get over how great God is and all the ways he has blessed us! <3 So please pray that this works out for me (and my family) and that everything continues to fall into place!!

Our fourth child joined us Friday, April 6th, 2012! This means I can now get treatment at any time, which will hopefully be VERY soon! Candle sales are in high gear and I am booking some craft shows to sell some there as well! :) So far I have raised $100.00 on my Giveforward website (Http://www,giveforward.com/myjourneywithkeratoconus) which I am incredibly grateful for but slightly sad that only one person has chose to help! :( If anyone is interested in candles please message me using the contact me tab and we can set something up!
